No. 5 Wineglass Bay
This is a well known beach on the east side of the beautiful Freycinet peninsular. The wonderful bay provides one of the few places for boats to shelter on the east coast of Tasmania. The beach is made of fine white sand which squeaks when you walk on it! The tideline had quite a lot of weed and shell fragments, as well as an abundance of cuttlefish. Indentations in the beach led to assemblages of beach debris. Sadly litter and plastic were even present on this remote beach. Drinks cans, rope, plastic packaging and even a shoe!
