No. 3 Randalls Bay
A lovely beach in a wide bay at the entrance to the Huon River. A wide variety of items were found along the tideline, including oyster shells, sea jelly, crab shells and even a dead rat! This is a relatively clean beach, despite the fact that it is well trodden and there are houses all around the bay. There may be an element of beach cleaning, but there were still the usual suspects of pieces of plastic and ropes. The gum trees at the back of this beach include a very rare form of the silver peppermint which grows only in this part of Tasmania.
