No. 33 NW Beach, Macona Inlet
Hook Island is one of the northerly islands in the Whitsunday's. Macona inlet along with neighbouring Nara Inlet provide popular sheltered anchorages for cruising boats. This un-named beach on the NW side of the inlet is almost 2 nm from the entrance. The beach almost disappears at high tide and is partly covered in mangrove. Most of the items here were found at the back of the beach amongst the bush. Items were collected and input to the AMDI database.
